Azealia Banks can't compete with Iggy Azalea's success, 'Work', & 'Change Your Life'

Little by little, it seems like the once relevant female rapper Azealia Banks is slowly fading out and sliding down the ranks of relevancy in the music industry. Girl does have talent, which is clear (especially in her hit song '212')—if only she could channel it into other gigs besides being a monstrous internet troublemaker and all-around bully. 

Although perhaps difficult to maneuver, rapper/rival Iggy Azalea's recent rise to success with 'Work', 'Bounce', and 'Change Your Life' ft. T.I., in addition to an MTV VMA nomination, is a lesson Banks could take a few notes on in saving her own artistry.

Controversy over Kendrick Lamar's remix to Big Sean's 'Control'

Controversy over what could be considered West Coast rap legend-in-the-making Kendrick Lamar's most classic verse to date. A remixed version of Big Sean's 'Control' features K Dot calling out the names of his peer rap competitors, including Drake, A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller, Pusha T, Tyler the Creator, Wale, Meek Mill, and more.

Some could even call it a diss, but...

Chanel West Coast of YMCMB calls out rappers for not "freestyling" on VladTV


Chanel West Coast, the Ridiculousness reality star who recently signed to Young Money, was put on the spot to freestyle on VladTV. After the spit, she subtly calls out other rappers—no one in particular—for not rapping off the top: "I know a lot of people like to say they be freestyling, but, we all know how it goes..."

Iggy Azalea talks being proud of 'Work' and releases tentative tracklist for The New Classic


Recently, Australian emcee Iggy Azalea entertained District MTV with femme force and personal preferences the world has yet to hear.

Iggy was met by an array of of personal preference questions, to which she responded:
  • East or West Coast; because she's calls the WC home.
  • Hippie or Punk; because of their long flowing hair.
  • Nike or Louboutins; given.
  • Victoria's Secret or Superbowl; because of the half-time shows.
  • Etc.

Kid Ink recruits Young Jeezy and YG on 'Bossin Up' (Remix)


A first cut of Kid Ink's 'Bossin Up' from the Almost Home album featured the New York flows of French Montana and A$AP Ferg. This time around, Ink recruits rappers Young Jeezy and YG to beef cake & "boss up" the remix.
